A matching gift is an effective way to magnify your personal contribution to the CdLS Foundation. Ask your employer or someone in your company’s human resource department about the company’s matching gift program. If you include a matching gift form with your contribution, we will complete the form and return it as directed.
You may make a gift to the CdLS Foundation by donating stock. You are entitled to a charitable deduction for the full, fair-market value of the stock at the time you sign over its ownership to the CdLS Foundation. The donated stock is not taxed on any appreciation and there is no capital gains tax on stock transfers to the CdLS Foundation.
To make a stock donation, please call Darrell Cookman, the CdLS Foundation Director of Individual Giving at (800) 223-8355 or e-mail him at: Giving@CdLSusa.org.

While you are making plans for your estate to benefit your family, we hope that you will consider including a legacy gift to ensure that the CdLS Foundation remains the vital organization that families of children with CdLS will continue to need in the coming years. Planned gifts can be made in specific dollar amounts or percentages of an estate. To discuss the different benefits and options you have in making a planned gift to the CdLS Foundation, please call Darrell Cookman, the CdLS Foundation Director of Individual Giving at (800) 223-8355 or e-mail him at: Giving@CdLSusa.org.
Hosting a fundraising event is an excellent method for raising awareness and funds to help find and serve children with CdLS. With help from Foundation staff, you can plan, organize and host a variety of events that will energize and unite your community to advance our mission. We will provide you with appropriate promotional/awareness materials, help you submit press releases to your local paper, provide sample sponsorship request letters, and assist in thanking all the donors and volunteers that help make your event a success. To learn more about hosting an event to benefit children with CdLS, please call Gail, the CdLS Foundation Events Coordinator at (800) 223-8355 or e-mail her at: awareness@cdlsusa.org.
